I want you to leave this class with a few ideas for future short stories. To that end, I want you to include ten (10) ideas for future stories in your final portfolio.
To get your story idea list started, you'll want to create a Google Doc in your Google Drive shared folder. Name the file like this: Ideas-YourFullName (ex. Ideas-ErnestHemingway).

Here is the format you should follow for each individual story idea:
Story Title: provide a title for your story (Note: even if you do not have a complete idea of what your title will be, write something down)
Story Idea: 2-5 sentences that provide a general overview of the events, characters, themes, even questions that you intend to explore in your short story.
Here are some examples:
Story Title: Lucha Libre
Story Idea: A young woman, Norma, returns to Ocampo, Tamaulipas after ten years of working in the United States. Her ten-year old son, Jaime, rejects her and is kidnapped by a local drug cartel that sponsors amateur female wrestling in honor of the legendary "Lucha la Malvada," the once-famous and long-disappeared female wrestler. The only way to get Jaime back is to get in the ring and defeat the reigning champion, "Apocalipsis." After finding out her mother used to call herself "Lucha la Malvada," how far will Norma go to reclaim her son?
Story Title: Green Monster
Story Idea: After the mysterious death of her mother, a 13-year old girl, Faith, copes with the mental and physical abuse of her grandmother. Whenever the young girl "misbehaves," the grandmother dons black clothing, paints her own skin green, and transforms into her sinister alter ego "Nelda the Witch." What will Faith uncover about the true circumstances surrounding her mother's death, and how will Faith survive "Nelda the Witch?"
